Hate: Gym Lurkers

I hate when I'm running on a treadmill when someone comes in who wants to make sure they get to be the next one on the treadmill and they stand right behind me, stretching and staring at the back of my head.  It ruins my run, and I'm not going to get off the treadmill as soon as I stop running—just because someone is lurking doesn't mean I'm going to skip my cool down and stretch.

Alternately, I hate people who take up the treadmills when they obviously aren't working out... if you're walking at a pace below 3.0 mph on a treadmill and it's not a warm up or cool down and you're on your cell while you walk, maybe you should let those of us who actually take the gym seriously work out.  (this is pointed at one particular girl in my apartment complex. grr)

Love: Kids who read.

I love seeing teens who carry around books instead of cigarettes. You are our future, kid, keep it up.

HATE: People who make noise while eating

OK, I get it, we make noise when we eat, but when other people are eating around you or there is noise of a restaurant drowning out the chewing sounds, it's okay.

I've been guilty of every now and again, making noise while I eat... but let me paint the picture of a quiet office, and trying to do work that is already painfully boring and trying to focus... and the person next to you has a giant jar of something crunchy. Now, the crunch alone is annoying... but the part that make my hair stand on end.... is hearing of the first parts of the digestion process that really gets me.... the swishing of the saliva as they get ready to swallow.  *gag*

LOVE: Peppermint and chocolate

Peppermint mochas

Peppermint bark

York Peppermint Patties

Junior Mints

Peppermint and chocolate together might be one of the greatest concoctions of all time.  Too bad most of it is only around at Christmas, I guess that's just another reason for me to LOVE Christmas.
